The Double

“Can’t-miss.”
The Seattle Times

"Likely resembles nothing most audiences have experienced recently or will experience again soon … a home run.”
The Sound on Stage

"Strange and unforgettable.”
Seattle Magazine

“The rules of a traditional theatrical experience were shattered ... [The Double] pushed the bounds of what dance and theater can be.”
—The Evergreen Echo

When a midlevel tech worker shows up to the office to find his new coworker is his exact doppelganger, it leads to an unraveling with far-reaching implications. Inspired by Dostoevsky’s novella, THE DOUBLE brought audiences into a real office floor, left abandoned after a mysterious incident and designed in filmic detail. Guests chose how to experience the story: sitting at a desk and watching depositions on glitching monitors, exploring and sifting through redacted documents, or peering into a glass-walled conference room where live performers moved just out of reach.
